In November 2008 I visited The Annapurna Mountain Range in Nepal with Lesley. You can see us here in a Rickshaw. It's a kind of taxi which is pulled along by a man on a bicycle. Our driver was really strong because he drove Lesly and Ledge and Me and all our rucksacks.
Lesley will visit the school later in the year and we will tell you all about our adventures. In the meantime, I have some pictures to show you.
This is our local guide who showed us around the mountains. Notice ma braw new clothes?.
We walked to over 3000 metres and got some fantastic views of the Annapurna mountains
This was Fish Tail Mountain. Isn't it beautiful?
The guides took us through some forests and I met this HUGE spider. Luckily it didn't see me because I was camouflaged. That means I was hiding in some leaves and branches so I would blend in and he wouldn't spot me.
We also visited some local villages and saw how the villagers had to get water from the well. They couldn't just turn on a tap. Can you imagine how hard it would be if you had to go to a welll to get some water and carry it back home?
On our trip, we had to fly over Mount Everest which is the highest mountain in the whole world. I got a good look at it out the window. I'm glad I didn't have to climb up there because it is more than twice as high as the biggest mountain I climbed in Peru - Dead Woman's Pass.
This is me on the plane showing off my beautiful traditional local clothes which were made especially for me. Reminds me of the film, "CrouchingTiger, Hidden Dragon", only in this case it was more like "Crouching Lion Rampant, Hidden Scotsman"
