Lapland - The Husky Trail

On the 9th April 2011 Maggie Whitaker and Emma Hind will be taking part in the Lapland Husky Trail, and they have invited Angus to join them. How cool is that? Their challenge will begin in Tromso, Norway and will finish 250km later at the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden.

They will be spending 6 days sledding their own team of Huskies through highlands, deep forests and over frozen lakes. A typical day will be at least 14 hours and the challenge will involve, feeding, bedding and preparing the Huskies, putting up and taking down the tents, cooking meals and helping around camp.

As you can imagine, this is no luxury challenge with temperatures dropping to -20 during the night!!!!!! . Angus will just have been back from South East Asia for a little over a week so I hope he is not too tired.

Remember, Angus met Maggie in Peru in 2007 and she took Angus to the Great Wall of China in 2009. This time she is raising money for Barnardos.
