International Education Week 2010

27th April 2010 Street Jammin were in school today as part of International Education week. The children danced to music from all over the world. The instructor explained how dancing keeps them fit, active and their minds alert. He reinforced what the school is always telling them, that they can be anything they want to be if they have faith in themselves, work hard and respect each other.

30th April 2010 As part of international week we had to dress in the colours of the flag of the country we were studying. Here we are in the white, red and green of the Italian flag.
We have also been learning some Italian words and phrases. We did a jigsaw activity to learn and teach each other about the cities in Italy and what they were famous for. We learned to extract information from a map too.
